Accounting Reports in ERPNext

General Ledger

General Ledger report is a detailed report for all transactions posted to each account with the Credit and Debit entries listed. This includes references to Account, Cost Centers, Party, Project and Period etc.

  1. Log into your ERPNext account

  2. Go to Accounting > General Ledger > General Ledger

3. The Report will appear. Specify date and other parameters for a more detailed search.

4. To download the file in Excel, click ‘Menu’ and select ‘Export’.

Balance Sheet

A Balance Sheet is a statement of the financial position of a business that lists the assets, liabilities, and owner's equity at a particular point in time. In ERPNext, you can run the report across multiple years to compare values.

  1. Log into your ERPNext account

  2. Go to Accounting > Financial Statements > Balance Sheet

3. The Report will appear. Specify period and other parameters for a more detailed search.

4. To download the file in Excel, click ‘Menu’ and select ‘Export’.

Profit & Loss Statement

A Profit & Loss statement, also called Income Statement,is a financial statement that summarizes the revenues, costs, and expenses incurred during a specified period, usually a fiscal quarter or year. In ERPNext, you can run the report across multiple years/periods to compare values.

  1. Log into your ERPNext account

  2. Go to Accounting > Financial Statements > Profit & Loss Statement

3. The Report will appear. Specify period and other parameters for a more detailed search.

4. To download the file in Excel, click ‘Menu’ and select ‘Export’.
